Gabriella Kokia

Gabriella, born in Cyprus and trained in Thessaloniki, Greece, has been designing and producing jewellery in Nicosia since 2006. Her practice is informed by an ongoing interest in materials, techniques and making processes, often developed through collaborations with artists and specialist craftsmen. These exchanges have also taken her work beyond conventional jewellery-making and into sculptural and experimental contexts. Her collections emerge from this continuous dialogue between the body, the object and the process of making. Each explores how jewellery can be both an object in its own right and something that becomes personal through the act of wearing it.
